GOP Not Doing Enough Says Poll

In what should not be a surprise to anyone, a new ABC News / Washington Post poll gives some quantitative credence to a concern raised by many Democrats. Fifty-four percent of respondents say that Obama is doing the right amount or too much in the name of bipartisanship, while 58% of respondents said that the GOP is not doing enough to work in a bipartisan matter (emphasis mine). It gets better: 63% of respondents said that the work on the health care bill should continue, while only 34% said that it should be scrapped entirely. Interesting considering the tone coming from the GOP. The upcoming bipartisan summit on health care reform will reveal to viewers what the polls indicate: Obama is happy to make concessions, while the GOP is operating under a false air of entitlement given the nation’s worries on some of Obama’s key legislative goals.
